A resident of Skopje, Macedonia, has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drawing cash using five forged Visa debit cards, whose numbers he got from the UK.
News reports suggest that the man, who has not been named, managed to scoop up around 19,000 euros before he got caught.
That's a lot of dosh, even if he made the withdrawals from a number of banks in the region.
According to the Organised Crime Sector of the Macedonian Interior Ministry, the 29-year-old man was detained late last week.
His downfall appears to have been using the cards at banks using a forged Bulgarian passport. Staff at a bank branch are reported to have become suspicious as to why he was using a UK-issued Visa card when he was clearly not British...
