Barclays Brings in F-Secure for Customers

The BBC reports Barclays Bank is buying every one of its online banking customers anti-virus software in a bid to improve security.

The bank has signed a deal with F-Secure for 1.6 million licences of the Finnish firm's anti-virus program.

Barclays is also introducing a system that uses text messages to let customers know when money is moved using their online account details, however a spokesman for the bank denied that the deal was a way to limit its liabilities if customers were defrauded.
