Linux has become the most popular Linux distribution fairly quickly thanks to its ease of use and smoothness. The tips that are provided though do not seem to address only new users. Seasoned users as well might find them useful.

What makes it slightly complicated and gruesome for novice users is the amount of jargon in the article.

For sure, Nano and Vim do necessarily ring not ring any bell in one's head. Neither does Symbolic links or Multiverse.

Well, this is a major pitfall in the strategy of many Linux distributions that assume that users are already accustomed with those words and their meanings when in fact they're not.

This is why Windows, MacOS and Linspire for example are considered to be more user friendly than Linux.
