I was less than impressed to read that Google's Web site hosting service has been used by hackers to upload malware to users' PCs.
Websense has warned that the malware-laden pages were hosted on the Googlepages service, although the pages concerned have now been taken down.
Hackers were using a trojan keylogger that was designed to steal PC users' bank account details.
Interestingly, the keylogger executable code was disguised to prevent detection by the usual range of IT security applications.
Even the size of the program was reportedly different to that expected, thanks to the use of a utility called ASPack, which compresses files wherever possible...
