Symantec warns of new proof-of-concept Mac trojan

Symantec has issued a warning about a new Mac trojan that runs under OS X, although the good news is that the malware appears to be more proof of concept than anything else.

Still, it is worrying, as Symantec says that the malware seeks to exploit a flaw in Mac OS X systems that Apple released a software security update to fix around a week ago.

According to newswire reports, 'OSX.Exploit.Launchd,' is a trojan that exploits a security hole in OS X's 'launchD' service, which controls which programs boot up at Mac start time.
