200,000 threats and counting…

Is your boss still complacent about IT application security? If so you need to check this out.

Apparently McAfee has clocked up a whopping 200,000 threats in its intrusion prevention database and they reckon they are going to be adding 60,000 more by the end of the year. This is fuelled by hackers trying to stay one step ahead of people like us.

It really makes me think that hacking has become a right of passage for loads of kids today. How else can we account for such an explosive growth in numbers?

In the mean time train your users, keep your patches up to date and hunker down for a long, long journey.
