Israel raises the e-war stakes

The potentially very nasty situation unfolding in the Middle East between Israel, the Palestinians and the Lebanon, has now hit the Internet it seems.

Reports from Israel suggest that the Israeli Ministry of Defence has taken a number of heavy duty measures to defend the Israeli Internet, using technology from ControlGuard and other vendors.

This is the first time that technology like ControlGuard's EndPoint Access Manager has been deployed at a national level, and it will be interesting to see how well the technology stands up to the inevitable tidal wave hackers that support the Palestinian and Lebanese causes.

Equally interesting is the claim by ControlGuard that the Israeli Ministry of Defence "joins a growing list of high profile enterprise customers in the US and around the world, including ABN AMRO, the First International Bank of Israel, Duane Morris and ELAL Airlines..."
