I was interested to read over the weekend that a significant surge in the sales of Apple Macs has resulted in increasing volumes of malware targeting the Mac starting to appear.
Last month saw Apple report that sales of Mac computers had experienced double digit growth, year-on-year, with analysts suggesting the growth is set to continue with more PC users jumping ship.
Mark Sunner, CTO of MessageLabs, has gone on record as saying that his staff are seeing an increase in attacks targeting OS/X, the Mac's operating system.
Greg Day, senior antivirus researcher at McAfee, meanwhile, has said his company's recent Global Threat Report found evidence to also support that claim.
The solution, though, may be quite simple - install an older version of OS/X on your Mac, as I gather earlier editions are a lot more difficult to hack...
