Logging on to our HSBC Business Banking account over the weekend I noticed that reference is made to a two-factor authentication device and asking if customers want to enable the unit.
The request is optional - until the 20th of October, when it becomes mandatory.
So it looks like HSBC is in the process of dishing out the Vasco tokens to all its 100s of thousands of business account customers.
Since HSBC has been using digital certificates for its business customers for ages, I wonder where this leaves personal banking customers as far as security is concerned?
