Woman accused of hacking US singer's mobile phone account

Now here's an interesting hacking/stalking case - a New Mexico woman has been charged with hacking into a mobile phone company's Web site to gain access to Chester Bennington's cellular phone bills.

Chester who? Yep, that's what I thought, but apparently he's an up and coming rock star in the US, where he is the lead singer of Linkin Park, the rock band.

According to US newswire reports, Devon Townsend, aged 27, obtained unauthorised copies of Bennington's mobile phone account, phone numbers he had called and digital pictures taken with the cameraphone.

Investigators said that Townsend even hacked into the mailbox of Bennington's wife, Talinda, calling her up and making general threats.

The hacking incidents, which involved Bennington's Verizon Wireless cellphone accounts, are described as the Internet version of a groupie hiding in Mick Jagger's dressing room.

Uh-huh, I think I can get the analogy. But who is this Mick Jagger geezer - wasn't he in a band called the Beatles or something?...
