Tiny Wave Bubble cellphone jammer released

Mobile phone jammers are, of course, illegal to use in the EU territories, but they are still sold by selected outlets in London.

I was therefore interested to see reports of new mini-jammer called the Wave Bubble unit which is so small that it fits inside a packet of 20 cigarettes.

Apparently the unit, which sells for around $200 in the US, is capable of blocking GSM/PCS and 3G mobile phones for a range of about 50 feet in any direction and some people are using them to get a quiet time in restaurants and cinemas.

Jammers are also, I gather, illegal to use in the US, but they are still sold a lot more openly there than in Britland...
