In what is arguably the most ironic hack of all time, defacement hackers appear to have hit the Zone-H Web hacking archive portal for around 48 hours earlier this week.
On investigation, Zone-H says that the hackers managed to get hold of the site's registration details and divert the DNS credentials to another site.
Zone-H says it took online discussions with at least eight people at its domain name registrars to get the DNS route reset back to the correct Web site.
In the meantime, Zone-H reckons a Saudi hacker gang was to blame for the hack, and has tightened up its procedures to prevent it happening again.
Talk about ironic...
