SlySoft, a software company based in Antigua (huh? -Ed), has released a package called AnyDVD HD which, it claims, allows PC users to by- pass the previously uncrackable AACS copy protection seen on HD-DVD
The firm says that it plans to ad support for the Blu-Ray HD disc format in the very near future.
The company has a track record with several other, er, useful applications in the AnyDVD vein. This latest one isn't that cheap at $79.00, but it reportedly does the business.
And with HD-DVD discs selling for a significant premium on regular DVDs, I can see a market. Maybe not a market userbase with legal intentions, but market nonetheless.
Perhaps that's why the company is based in Antigua...
