Internet Defense Technologies (IDT), a provider of Internet security solutions, announced the availability of its Total Mail Defense, an anti-spam tool that identifies and screens out unwanted email.
Total Mail Defense is a cost-effective system that blocks email born viruses, mal-ware, phishing attempts and other dangers from a company’s inbound email before it reaches the email server. The system is run from IDT’s servers, shifting the burden of installing, maintaining and upgrading the system to IDT and enables users to avoid bandwidth issues.
Total Mail Defense is designed for small to medium-sized companies that do not have the resources to maintain full time staffs dedicated to defending their email servers and networks from spam and electronic viruses.
"We became a beta tester of Total Mail Defense because the spam, emailed viruses, illicit material and useless offers we received through the Internet were seriously impacting our staff's productivity,” said Drew Noel of Kevis Rejuvenation Programs, Inc., an international hair products company headquartered in Beverly Hills, Calif. “This solution is especially valuable to us because it is run from Internet Defense Technologies’ own server and enables us to focus more effectively on our core business."
“IDT has leveraged decades of network and mail security experience into a useful, practical technology solution that helps companies manage the risks associated with doing business on the Internet,” said Ron Edison, founder and CTO of IDT. “Currently, many companies complain that 90 percent of their email is unwanted. Our product has flexible filters that screen these unwanted emails out and delivers only those that help them run their business more effectively.”
