SJD Accountancy, the UK's largest specialist provider of accountancy services to the Contractor and Freelancer market, has just launched a new Recruiter Resource centre on it’s website.
The new section provides recruiters with valuable, free to download guides and helpful advice for candidates who are entering the contractor / freelancer market. Candidates, especially those who are first timers, usually have a hundred and one questions about how they should work, how they will be paid, what expenses they can claim, tax implications and the pros and cons of working through a PAYE Umbrella company or via their own limited company.
The most popular guides are likely to be the ‘2 minute guide on how to work through a limited company’, the ‘step-by-step guide to contracting’ which has already been downloaded by over 10,000 contractors and the huge 75 page ‘Comprehensive Contractors Guide’.
“These guides have been hugely popular with the contracting market and I expect the same will be true for recruiters, especially in light of the latest Budget announcement regarding contractors working practices”, explains Simon Dolan, Managing Director of SJD Accountancy.
Candidates obviously want to set themselves up in the most tax efficient way possible whilst making it easy for their clients to deal with them, but this is often not as easy as it sounds. Candidates often look to their recruitment consultant for advice and SJD hopes the Recruiter Resource centre will prove to be invaluable. They believe it will also save recruiters time in explaining the different options of how to work and provide answers to the most commonly asked questions.
According to SJD, the numerous guides have been written in plain English, are easy to download and are in a format that is simple to interpret, making it easy for recruiters to provide the best possible advice.
