Say hello to WeFi

If you use WiFi whilst on the move and - shall we say - aren't too fussy whose WiFi router you use, you may be interested in WeFi, a new package from the WiFi Friends Everywhere initiative.

If you goto here and use a code of 07ApM81D3 you can download a free beta test edition of the WeFi software.

Like the Boingo and iPass pay-for WiFi client software, the WeFi client maps all the available local WiFi connections, but with the proviso that it's coded to specifically look for free services.

The software allows you to map the locations to enter them into the WeFi database, or you can use the already-mapped access points to find a new place to log in.

No doubt someone will be along in a moment to tell me this software is a tad illegal, but what the hey...
