US government to host terrorist e-attack hearing this week

I was interested to read that officials with the US Department of Homeland Security are to hold a hearing in Washington this Wednesday to discuss electronic terrorist attack issues.

The meeting will, apparently, discuss the findings of an investigation into the agency's problems in battling electronic attacks and IT systems intrusions.

The hearing is the culmination of a series of moves behind these scenes to bring this topic into the open.

I strongly suspect that the US military - and probably the US government - would rather the issue remain classified, but there's the US Freedom of Information Act for you.

So what will be discussed in the open on Wednesday?

Your guess is as good as mine, but I hope to revisit this topic later in the week and report on what was said...
