Social network site hacking techniques revealed

Those good ol' boys over at IBM's ISS X-Force operation seem to have been letting their brain cells run overtime and come up with ways of how to extract useful information from social networking sites such as Facebook.

In a blog posting by Gunter Ollmann, director of security strategy for the operation, he explains how - with a little imagination and a pinch of social engineering - identity theft can be a piece of cake.

Gunter calls this type of information harvesting `Shucking.'
