Hello Myspace... Skype partners with Social Network giant

BBC writes that the Murdoch-owned Social networking Giant, Myspace, is going to partner with Skype - owned by Auction behemoth Ebay, to allow Myspace users to call each other for free as well as landlines and mobiles for a fee.

Both companies aim to create the world's "largest online voice-connected community" and will give a welcome boost to Skype in terms of userbase.

Skype's voice service is going to be integrated into Myspace's instant messaging system which means that Myspace users won't need to download new software.

It is not known whether the companies will share the revenues generated by Skype paid services (Skype generally shares a quarter of revenues with partners) or whether Skype and Myspace userbase is going to be merged.
