IBM ISS boss says botnet herders getting smarter

I was intrigued to read a report from Gunter Ollmann, the director of IBM's Internet Security Systems operation, claiming that botnet herders are now using an advanced anonymous proxy service for their commercial customers.

The idea behind the move into anonymous proxy services is, says Gunter, an attempt to expand upon their existing identity theft and spam relay services.

In his blog, Gunter explains how Web proxies are smashing systems for launching hidden Web attacks.
