Visitors to the Business Travel Show taking place at Earls Court 2 next Tuesday to Thursday will be pleased to hear that 3M is offering free Vikuiti privacy filters to the first 50 visitors to its stand each day with details of their laptop make and model.
The promotion is designed to raise the profile of 3M's privacy filters, which the firm says are extra-useful to prevent shoulder surfers on trains, planes and other public places.
Citing a recent survey, 3M says there are around 2.4 million laptop users in the UK at risk of prying eyes.
What's more, 80 per cent of these users, 3M claims, have already become victims of shoulder surfing.
The Vikuiti filters that the company is promoting at next week's show are designed to fit over a laptop's screen are detachable for when not in use.
They are, the company says, designed to allow an unrestricted view for the user but prevent others positioned to the side or viewing over their shoulder from seeing what is on the screen.
