FIRST Networking

Over and over again, I hear this phrase from delegates at FIRST. I met XYZ at one of the FIRST conferences and they’ve really helped me out with XYZ problem. 

Now these are comments from FIRST delegates, not marketing people, not committee members but just people who come along and attend the conferences. Here’s the ironic thing. 

I casually mentioned a problem I was having with a large global company that a member of FIRST worked for. 

Being typically British, I wanted to resolve the issues myself but was having no success. In abject failure, I emailed the individual who had kindly offered some support – and wow instant resolution – after 3 months of phone calls and letter writing.

FIRST really do promote networking and many of their events and end of day activities look at how they can draw people together whether it is by playing a football game or having special vendor drinks evenings.
