You’ve Been Hacked : Lessons to be learnt

Well actually it was me.  Just before coming to FIRST, I was backing up different parts of my computer and so created some shares and opened up my guest account so that I didn’t have to bother about user names and passwords.

Well here’s a picture of the result from a friendly FIRST hacker.



The lesson:-  If you’re at any security conference where you are going to use their network, remember to secure your laptop.  Actually if you’re out anywhere with your laptop remember to secure it!

The jokes about the picture I have of me growling still haven’t ceased.  If I return, I’ll be setting up a honeypot to be sure!
