Blinkx Introduces TV Search Engine Aggreatator; allows UK users to catch up TV content online

TV fanatics now have a better tool to access their favourite TV shows on internet, because Blinkx has unleashed its internet search engine that allows its users to access TV contents available on the net.

TV programmes accessed through the service would be free of video spam, illicit video clips, and other such malicious content.

The service is linked with major online TV channels of UK, including- ITV.com from ITV, iPlayer services from BBC, Channel 4, Demand Five, etc; however, it doesn’t have any official agreement with any channel yet.

Blinkxs’ remote service doesn’t have its own content, and directs the users to the clicked link of the website.

Speaking on the occasion, Suranga Chandratillake, CEO and founder of Blinkx, mentioned the sweeping changes taking place in video landscape technology, and said “What was once the domain of shortform, user-generated material has become the realm of premium television.”

The service also provides latest updates of their favourite shows through RSS feeds or emails.
