From an end user perspective, desktop virtualisation has the greatest potential to change the way we work. 

Moving a worker’s Windows desktop from the PC sitting on their desk to a virtual machine hosted in a datacentre has numerous attractions, but it also carries a degree of risk if not completed properly. 

Is this enough to scare organisations from seriously looking at virtualisation?  

Maybe not, as widespread desktop virtualisation is inevitable but the channel/VAR assisting its customers with adoption has a huge part to play in avoiding a first bad experience.
