Palm has unleashed a new addition to its Treo series, Palm Treo Pro smartphone, which is equipped with Windows 6.1 Mobile software, and primarily aims to serve the business users.
The new device seems to present a stiff competition to its other rivals in business class, especially Blackberry, which has a remarkable influence over the business segment.
The new Treo Pro is a 320x320 pixel touchscreen device that supports UMTS/HSDPA GSM networks; further, it also incorporates GPS feature, and an enhanced Wi-Fi support, for a better wireless internet access.
The device is very sleek with 4.4 x 2.3 x 0.5 inches dimensions, and weighs 4.7 ounces only, additionally, the phone include - a full-fledged QWERTY keyboard, a 2 megapixel camera, and 128 MB RAM.
The phone will be marketed by Vodafone and O2 in Europe this September and Telstra will sell the phone in Australia; however, there is no specific carrier for US have been decided yet, Palm added.
