The R505 laptop is in our opinion the best laptop you can buy under £400 in the UK at the end of December 2008 for a number of reasons.

It comes with a dual Core AMD Turion running at 2.1GHz with 1MB cache and is backed by 3GB DDR2 RAM. Other laptops under £400 come with 3GB cache or more.

The R505 also packs a 250GB hard disk drive, a 15.4 inch screen, a DVD writer, a webcam, a Realtek Sound Module and a card reader.
