Carphone Warehouse Cuts A Third Off From Nokia's 5310 Music Phone Price

Carphone Warehouse is currently offering the Nokai 5310 XpressMusic for sale offering an impressive £45 discount (roughly 35 percent) off the suggested retail price of £127.18 when bought with £10 worth of airtime either on Orange or on Virgin Mobile.

At £82.18 (or 23p per day), the Nokia 5310 Comes with Music phone is an exceptionally good deal especially since it includes one year worth of unlimited songs download that you can keep (but not transfer).

The main downsides, as T3 mentioned, is that it is not compatible with the Mac (or Linux) platform and you can only play the music files on the PC on which the songs have been downloaded.

We already know that Comes With Music can already be quasi-hacked (it involves recording a new MP3 file instead) and with more than millions of songs available (and many more added every week), this is really a no brainer for music lovers.

It is likely that Carphone Warehouse is clearing some space and getting rid of the old Series 40 devices which doesn't sport 3G connectivity and other niceties like a touchscreen. The new Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic, which is the slot-in replacement of the 5310, is expected to be released on the 23rd of January.
