Well, we can't say that we're surprised. The backlash was expected sooner or later somehow and we're surprised it took so long for it to happen. Whether this will happen elsewhere remains to be seen especially since you can expect Google to update its street view pictures sometimes in the future (two or three years down the line) to reflect environmental changes.
