Pictures : Asus EEE PC 1005HA Netbook Details Emerge

Asus is going back to basics with the new 1005HA which is set to be the company's cheapest 10-inch netbook on the market by a slim margin when it comes out later this year.

The 1005HA, which many thought would be a version of the 1008HA with a removable battery, is set to be a slightly larger version of the Asus EEE PC 1000H which is currently on the market.

There will be 2 versions one; the more expensive version (-H) will come with a Glare-Type screen, a newer N280 Atom CPU running at 1.66GHz, Bluetooth 2.1+ as well as a 2800mAh 6-cell battery.

The cheaper (-M) has no bluetooth, sports the cheaper 1.6GHz N270 Atom CPU and a 2200mAh battery. All the pictures that you need are on French blogging website, Blogeee.net.

Both will carry 1GB RAM, have a 1024x600 pixels resolution, Wireless-N Wifi, 1.3-megapixel webcam, card reader, three USB ports and a 160GB hard disk drive.

Compared to the 1008HA, they will be both much heavier (300g more) and bulkier (nearly 10mm thicker at the thickest edge). The 1005HA-H has a suggested retail price of £266 which is slightly less than the £277 the 1000H sells for at Ebuyer.
