Vodafone Offers Free Facebook For One Week Only

Vodafone will allow its mobile phone and broadband users to use Facebook for free until the 30th of July as part of the mobile network's Free Friday series.

The world's biggest mobile network operator in terms of revenue also did Free Fridays for internet access for both mobile phones and broadband as well as Free Music Friday but only for 24 hours.

The Free Facebook campaign comes as Vodafone will start delivery free Facebook text alerts although customers will be paying for outgoing texts. Vodafone customers will be able to sign on their Facebook account through www.facebook.com/mobile

The move comes a few weeks after O2 announced a similar partnership with microblogging website Twitter. Its UK mobile users can already roam for free during summer across Europe both on contract and on Pay as you go.

Vodafone users pay a flat daily rate of 50p to access the internet which is slightly more than the £5 3 Networks charge for the same service albeit on another network.

More interestingly, Vodafone is currently selling the Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook with Vodafone Mobile Broadband built in (1GB transfer) for only £20 on a two year contract.
