A new iPhone app introduced by property portal Rightmove will literally allow users in UK to search properties on the move thanks to its Global Positioning System based mapping feature which essentially locates the position of its users and then notifies them about properties available for sale or rent in the vicinity.
Incidentally Rightmove lists properties for sale or rent based on their location on its website and in case you wish to search properties near a place you happen to be, the application will send you images of available properties and contact details of property agents.
The iPhone application which its developers believe will serve as the ultimate home-hunting tool to its users incidentally includes technology developed by mobile solutions development firm 2Ergo.
Expressing his enthusiasm over the introduction of app, Miles Shipside, the commercial director of Rightmove said in a statement “The iPhone app will add a new dimension to the way people can search for property and means users can now have instant, location-targeted access to the UK’s number one property website.”
Miles also apparently believes that iPhone users will account for nearly 95 percent of all mobile traffic that the Rightmove site hopes to draw in near future.
