Nokia X6 To Ship In UK For £400, £25 P/M With Trade-In

Nokia has officially released the X6 in the UK and in other territories worldwide but the bad news is that you cannot already buy it from their online shop even at the hefty (official) price of £470.

The "release" two day ago was more a pre-release in fact. The phone however is currently appearing in http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=nokia+x6&hl=en Google's shopping database as costing £400 from Play in a blue/silver model while the red/black version apparently costs £40 extra. Both being unlocked and SIM free.

The "All You Can Eat" Comes with Music phone will almost certainly be the replacement of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which is a bit long in the tooth. The X6 has a 16:9 widescreen 3.2-inch touchscreen display, 32GB RAM onboard, a 5-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and much more.

The £400 segment is starting to look crowded for Nokia as the N900, the X6, the N97 and the N97 Mini are cramped in the same price range. Nokia has bundled three games with the phone, namely, Spore, Asphalt4 and DJ Mix Tour.

Apparently phones4U will be offering a deal whereby you can get the X6 for £25 per month when you trade in an N-series smartphone, even an old one, as long as it works.

Otherwise, it will cost you £35 per month. Given that you can get the Nokia N80 from CEX for £40, you might want to grab a deal.
