Modern Warfare 2 banks a billion dollars
You could start a real war for that
Game publisher Activision says its hit game COD Modern Warfare 2 has chalked up sales of over $1billion (625 million quid in real money).
The first-person shooter went on sale in November raked in over half a bill in its first five days in the shops.
It is the sixth instalment in the Call of Duty series and was helped - as ever- by the whiff of controversy when launched, mainly - apparently - for a clip of an airport massacre in which the character you play takes part.
Activision claimed that scene was "not representative of overall experience".
The game was the best-selling videogame of 2009 in the UK, according to the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association (ELSPA).
