The new SQL Server will be a welcomed addition to the line of products aimed at the corporate market. Now that Windows 7 is firmly behind Microsoft, it is time to look at beefing up its offering in an attempt to fend off rivals like Oracle which might believe that the Redmond-based firm is more concerned about its consumer products and services.
