Nvidia names first Fermi GPUs

Nvidia has named the first two graphics processors to be based on the company's new Fermi markitecture.

The company, which has been heavily criticised in the past for confusing poor punters by renaming and rebranding old technology, announced via Twitter that the first two models powered by the upcoming GF100 chips will be the GeForce GTX 480 and the GeForce GTX 470.

No further details were offered but it's a bit difficult to post full technical specs in 140 characters.
