Bright future for E Series notebooks

Sony has expanded its range of portables with a raft of new E Series notebooks in a splash of girl-friendly colours.

If carrying a fluorescent green or bright pink computer around in public floats your boat, you'll want to rush off and pre-order one of these $800 offerings right away, though it won't be delivered before March.

The 15.5-inch lappies feature ATI Radeon graphics with up to 512MB of RAM, Intel Core i3 or i5 processors, and a weedy 3.5 hours of battery life at best.

Pretty hopeless if you want to do any serious work, but we're sure they'll match those gorgeous new Manolo Blahnik slingbacks perfectly.
