Cyber anarchists hack Aussie government

No one messes with our porn

An underground cyber-activist group known as Anonymous has attacked several Australian government web sites in protest at controversial plans to censor the Internet Down Under.

The collective bombed at least four websites, including main government portal www.australia.gov.au and parliament's www.aph.gov.au with denial of service attacks as part of 'Operation Titstorm' (stop sniggering at the back).

"The Australian government will learn that one does not mess with our porn," Anonymous said in an email. "No one messes with our access to perfectly legal (or illegal) content for any reason," it said.

The Australian government is proposing to filter the Internet in order to prevent kiddie porn, bestiality and drug abuse, but civil liberties groups are concerned that the net could easily be widened to prevent access to anything the politicians don't like.
