Bioshock 2 gets widescreen fix

Expansion pack

Following grumbles from the Bioshock community, game maker 2K is releasing a patch to fix the screen resolution problems with the underwater adventure shooter.

Players who were using widescreen displays at 16:9 and 16:10 were getting squished 4:3 visuals rather than proper widescreen. The patch, which should be available in the UK from 10am today, expands the horizontal player view as intended according to the Cult of Rapture portal.

The patch also fixes a problem with mouse buttons presses not registering properly in multi-player gameplay.

2K says that it has rushed this minor patch out to deal with "high priority community issues" but is still working on a major update which will be announced at a later date.
