Cryptome rides again

Microsoft gives up on gagging order

Mild-mannered Microsoft withdrew its copyright complaint against secrets-busting web site Cryptome after it realised the tactic wasn't helping.

Cryptome is now back up and running as you can see here.

If Microsoft wanted to keep the contents of its Global Criminal Compliance Handbook quiet it would have have done better to keep its trap shut in the first place.

"Microsoft has withdrawn its DMCA complaint", a Network Solutions "agent" told Cryptome. "As a result www.cryptome.org has been reactivated and this matter has been closed."

How nice.
