O2 Reveals New iPhone Plans

Telefonica-owned O2 has unveiled a new SIM-Only tariff while unveiling updated contracts to cater both for existing and new customers looking to purchase Apple's iconic smartphone.

O2 new pricing appears to mimic that of Vodafone, its closest competitor. Now, its new SIM only package for iPhone will come with unlimited texts, unlimited UK data, WiFi and Visual voicemail and will start from £15 for a 12-month contract (£20 for a 1-month one).

This particular option will be particularly attractive for light users as it offers 300 minutes with an additional £5 buying an extra 300 minutes. There's also a tethering option that costs a mere £10 per month and gives you 3GB worth of data.

O2 has also introduced an unlimited option which gives unlimited everything (Voice, text, Data) for a mere £45 per month on a 12-months contract (£50 for a rolling 30-days one).

While there were reports that O2 has been reducing the price of its iPhone plans, we have not yet seen any reflected on its online store.

The only differences we've noted were the fact that they've got unlimited texts on all contracts and that they introduced two new unlimited deals - £65 per month for the 18-month one and £60 for the 24 month one.
