Sky expands HD roster to 40 channels

Just in time for the footie

Sky has announced that it will add three new channels to its High Definition line-up bringing the total to 40.

The big news for football fans is that one of the new channels will be ITV HD, which is finally coming to fruition on April 2nd, after two years of contractual negotiations and just in time for the World Cup.

What that means is that, alongside coverage from the BBC, every match of the football extravaganza from South Africa will be shown in eye-boggling, virtually useless HD.

Hallmark HD and Sky Sports 4 HD will also be launched before the end of April.
