Panorama investigates Internet police

BBC One 20:30 tonight

The world's longest-running investigative news show, Panorama will tonight take an in-depth look at the issues surrounding illegal file sharing.

With governments around the world considering draconian measure including ISP excommunications for entire families if one member of the household breaches UK copyright laws, Radio DJ Jo Whiley will take a look at how we really use broadband in the home.

As a THINQ reader, we're sure you are aware of the implications of P2P file sharing and software bootlegging, but for most casual Internet users this could be the first time they are made aware of the legal issues surrounding the Digital Economy bill, currently being steamrollered through parliament by a cabal of self-interested industry lobby groups and ill-informed MPs.

The programme airs tonight at 8.30pm on BBC One and will be available on iPlayer soon after that.
