It seems that Apple’s recently harbingered tablet computing device, dubbed iPad, is quite successful in grabbing the eyeballs of the gizmo enthusiasts. The company is apparently out of stock for its pre-stated 3rd April shipment date, and the new pre-orders are said to get a hold of the device by April 12.
Some US customers who have placed their pre-orders for all three new Wi-Fi enabled models would have to wait for some time longer, as the company’s online store is indicating that some of the new customers will receive the device by 12th of April, nine days after the early adopters get hold over the slate-shaped computing gadget.
Furthermore, the company continues to mention that the 3G-enabled versions of the device will arrive sometime in “late April”.
While industry analysts are speculating their about the number of iPad orders Apple has received since 12th March, the Wall Street Journal, around a week ago, quoted a few sources claiming the electronics giant has sold “hundreds of thousands of the device”.
Additionally, the sources went on to claim that the iPad was all set to potentially outnumber the 1.2 million sales figure the iPhone achieved when it was debuted back in 2007.
Meanwhile, Apple also announced that the Camera Connection Kit for the iPad will be announced in “late April”, and has started taking pre-orders for the device.
