High prices for gun-jumpers

At least two retailers in the UK are today selling Apple iPads. You'll be paying a premium of you want to get your hands on one before the Uk launch. Whenever that may be.

Purelygadgets has confirmed to ITProportal that it has stocks of all three versions of the iPad launched in the US.

Prices range from £700 for the 16GB version to £870 for the 64GB version with the 32GB version for £786 - including free next-day delivery.

Simply Electronics is also stocking all three versions of the iPad priced at a less wallett-stretching £540, £630 and £740 respectively, also with free delivery. Coo!

We expect the device to launch in Europe on the 24th of April. We also expect the cheapest version to be around £400.
