Microsoft's marketing executive for Saudi Arabia, Syed Bilal Tariq, has confirmed the launch of the company's Project Natal motion-sensing gaming peripheral in Saudi Arabia.
The release in Saudi Arabia is set to coincide with the global launch of the product in October 2010.
In an interview with Saudi TV, Syed Bilal Tariq confirmed that the motion-sensing product would be launched in October. The actual day will not be announced until after the E3 2010 convention in Los Angeles, which takes place on 15-17 June.
Commenting on the development, Syed Bilal Tariq said: “We will be in a position to confirm the date after E3, which is in June. But definitely, it is going to be October 2010, and we will have it in Saudi Arabia for sure.”
Project Natal, first unveiled by Microsoft in June 2009, will be an enhancement for the Xbox 360 gaming console and is designed to work with a number of specially designed games currently in development.
The device promises enhanced motion-sensing technology similar to that offered by the Nintendo Wii.
