Wildfire comes to Vodafone UK

Android extends reach

Vodafone is set to add the HTC Wildfire to its growing selection of phones running Google's Android OS on its network.

The HTC Wildfire offers HTC Sense and Android 2.1 in a smaller, cheaper device than the popular Desire.

The handset has a 3.2-inch multi-touch screen, a 5MP camera with auto-focus and flash for shooting stills and video, a 3.5mm audio jack and micro SD card slot.

It also features HTC’s Friend Stream, which brings together and displays content from social networks, including Twitter, Facebook and Flickr.  With access to the Android app Store it allows app sharing through a special widget.

The device joins HTC Desire, Google Nexus One, Sony Ericsson X10 and other Android smartphones on the  network.

You'll find plenty of other details here, other than the price.
