Gigabyte claims 3DMark world records

Overclocking the HD 5870 SOC

Taiwanese mobo and graphics card maker, Gigabyte claims its HD 5870 SOC has busted another world record.

The firm recently claimed a GPU/CPU 31298 3DMark Vantage score with its top-end HD 5870 SOC.

Now the firm says its HD 5870 SOC has topped the charts in both 3DMark05 and 3DMark06 scores.

The outfit fiddled with the overclockable card to get a score of 60775 in 3DMark05 and 46920 in 3DMark06.
