PC World and Currys confirm iPad on sale

Full list of stockists published

High Street retailers PC World and Currys have confirmed that they have stocks of Apple's iPad this morning.

At exactly 9am today, a new banner popped up on the PC World web site which confirms rumours that the two outfits, both of which are owned by DSGi, will be flogging Apple's eagerly-awaited tabletty toy.

Not every store is included in the full list and stock levels are vague to say the least, with each entry simply saying that the particular store has "ten or more" units available.

The fact that you can walk into a branch of PC World or Currys and grab an iPad today might well upset the thousands of Apple fans who will have to wait until the middle of June to lay their hands on the Second Coming of computing.
