Hewlett-Packard has released a new series of IT products for the emerging small and medium-sized business (SMBs) market.
The products, launched at a company event in California, focus on networking and storage services for SMBs - a sector that spends around $234 billion worldwide each year on IT products.
The company launched the V1410 Switch Series, which aims to bring easier configuration and broader options to enterprise users. The switches will also come with a Kensington Computer Products lock, making the equipment more secure.
HP has also increased the capacity of its storage devices, including the StorageWorks X1000 Network Storage System and P2000 G3 SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) Modular Array.
The X1000 is now capable of offering double the storage capacity of the previous version.
HP has also updated its Automated Storage Manager software so that it now offers file sharing with clients in under 20 minutes. The old version offered the same service within a 60-minute timeframe.
